The Role

We are looking for an experienced E-commerce Buyer & Merchandiser to join the growing e-commerce team at our client. In this role, you will be responsible for the global purchasing and curation of products for our e-commerce site, ensuring that we offer the most compelling, profitable and optimized assortment, displayed at the right time, to our customers, globally.

You will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and understanding international and market specific trends and how to optimize the online assortment and sales plan accordingly. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement, opportunities for sales and commercially adjusting site merchandise to micro trends and stock levels. At the same time, you will work on continuous incremental improvements on site, while always safeguarding the brand.

You will be a key player in driving the profitability and success of our online business and you report directly to the Head of E-commerce at the HQ in Stockholm. You will work closely with various teams, including marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maximizing and driving net revenue while optimizing assortment, inventory and sales plan onsite by analyzing sales, product selection and inventory 
  • You are responsible for analyzing customer and sales data from the previous season as well as order placement for the e-commerce site.
  • Analyze and optimize stock levels and size statistics through price optimization and ad-hoc purchasing.
  • Perform cart and return rate analyses and provide insights to other teams in order to improve profitability and customer experience 
  • Manage and oversee the purchasing process for our online store, ensuring we have the right products in the right quantities, displayed at the right time to our clients.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze sales data, and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly to optimize sales and margins.
  • Work closely with the logistics and inventory teams to manage stock levels, avoid overstocking or stockouts, and ensure timely product availability for customers.
  • Track product lifecycle and optimize assortment to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Run the content calendar, including for website and newsletters

Requirements

  • International experience and previous experience from other fashion brands 
  • Proven experience as an E-commerce Buyer, or in a similar role in retail or e-commerce, with a solid understanding of purchasing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and trends to make informed purchasing decisions and sales planning.
  • Experience working with analytics tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI, ERP systems, etc.
  • A keen eye for trends and a good sense of what will resonate with the brand, their customers and online shoppers.
  • Ability to turn data into valuable insights and commercial actions onsite.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across different teams.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
