The Role

The Head of E-commerce at our client will be responsible for developing and executing the overall digital strategy to drive growth and profitability across the company's e-commerce platform. This position will oversee all aspects of the e-commerce business, including sales, assortment, brand & marketing, customer experience, and digital performance optimization. The role requires a data-driven leader with a deep understanding of the luxury e-commerce landscape, trends, and consumer behavior, and the ability to maintain the company's high standard of branding and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the e-commerce strategy to drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Define and execute the long-term vision for the clients 's e-commerce presence, ensuring alignment with the brand’s luxury identity and positioning.
  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate the e-commerce strategy with the brand's broader marketing, sales, and customer experience strategies.
  • Oversee daily e-commerce operations, including inventory management, product listings, order fulfillment, and customer service.
  • Ensure optimal performance and customer experience of the e-commerce platform 
  • Lead and execute digital marketing initiatives across paid media, SEO/SEM, social media, and affiliate marketing to increase brand awareness, traffic, conversion, and customer acquisition.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the brand’s online presence internationally, capitalizing on emerging trends and new markets.
  • Analyze performance metrics, A/B test strategies, and implement data-driven optimizations to continually improve sales and ROI.
  • Ensure a premium, personalized, and seamless customer journey from browsing to checkout, reflecting the luxury brand.
  • Develop and refine customer retention strategies, including loyalty programs, exclusive offers, and post-purchase engagement to drive repeat business and brand advocacy.
  • Monitor customer feedback and online reviews to continuously enhance the shopping experience.
  • Build and manage a high-performing e-commerce team, setting clear objectives and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and results-driven culture.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on seasonal collections, content, and promotional calendars.
  • Stay ahead of digital trends, emerging technologies, and e-commerce platforms to ensure the company remains a leader in the luxury e-commerce space.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor site traffic, user behavior, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in e-commerce management, with at least 3 years of experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in luxury fashion, premium or high-end brands.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (preferably Shopify), digital marketing channels, and online retail best practices.
  • Proven track record of driving digital sales growth and leading successful e-commerce transformations.
  • Expertise in analytics and performance marketing, with experience using tools such as Google Analytics, and others.
  • In-depth knowledge of luxury fashion and premium brand positioning in the e-commerce space.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Strategy, or related field.
  • Strong international market experience and understanding of global luxury consumer behavior.
