Head of Creative

We are looking for a Head of Creative to lead Byredo’s creative studio in Stockholm. In this role you will be responsible for guiding the brand’s visual direction, developing world-class creative output, and ensuring consistency across global touchpoints. You will lead and grow a team of Art Directors and Graphic Designers, collaborate closely with global brand leadership in Paris, and ensure the brand’s creative vision is delivered with clarity, structure, and high craft.

About the role

This is a hybrid role: high-level creative direction combined with strong team leadership and the ability to connect creative vision with business objectives. You will nurture talent, protect the creative spirit, and bring clarity, structure, and feedback culture into the studio without micromanaging.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team in Stockholm, the creative hub of the brand, and collaborate closely with global brand leadership in Paris. As Byredo continues its journey transitioning from founder-led creative expression to a more strategic brand-driven model you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next era.

As Head of Creative at Byredo, you will act as the guardian of the brand's creative universe evolving and translating the brand’s philosophy into visual and conceptual expressions across all channels.

The studio works across campaigns, visual identity, retail expression, packaging and more. Your mission is to ensure cohesion, emotional resonance, and creative excellence across every touchpoint.

Your Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and evolve Byredo’s creative direction and identity
  • Lead and inspire a team of art directors, graphic designers and freelancers
  • Translate brand strategy and briefs into creative visions and executions
  • Drive the development of campaigns, brand assets, packaging and retail experiences
  • Collaborate closely with global brand leadership in Paris
  • Build a feedback-driven culture grounded in clarity, trust, and accountability
  • Balance creativity with commercial and strategic priorities
  • Ensure strong creative output across internal and external talent
  • Scale team capabilities as the brand grows and evolves
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of creative deliverables - ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on vision.

We’re Looking for Someone Who

  • Has 8+ years of creative leadership experience in luxury, fashion or beauty
  • Has proven ability to manage, mentor and grow creative teams
  • Understands luxury, culture, and emotional brand storytelling
  • Can move fluidly between conceptual vision and structured execution
  • Is confident yet humble, able to give and receive feedback with maturity
  • Represents the brand externally with gravitas, warmth, and professionalism
  • Brings balance: creativity and clarity, intuition and structure
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language (e.g. French) is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools
  • Deep understanding of art direction, graphic design, campaign production, and brand storytelling
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - able to articulate creative rationale with clarity and conviction
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Experience from both agency and larger global brand environments is a strong advantage.
  • Sees the creative potential in emerging technologies such as AI, understanding how innovation can support and elevate the brand’s artistic expression without compromising its identity.
