
About the assignment
As a consultant AdTech Solution Owner, you will be responsible for driving structure, prioritisation and progress across the client’s AdTech ecosystem. You will own the roadmap and backlog, lead stakeholder dialogue and ensure that solutions deliver measurable business value while meeting regulatory and data protection requirements. The role works closely with the Service Manager - AdTech, as well as Marketing, IT and external platform partners to ensure aligned delivery and business value.
Your responsibilities
- Own the AdTech solution roadmap and backlog, prioritizing business and technical requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders regarding AdTech solutions.
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage contracts, budgets, and licensing in collaboration with the Service Manager.
- Ensure all AdTech solutions comply with GDPR and internal data protection policies.
- Lead workshops and meetings to gather requirements, align on priorities, and communicate progress.
- Coordinate incident and problem management, supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Report on service performance, risks, and opportunities to business and IT leadership.
Role Boundaries and Collaboration
Incident & Problem Management:
- Participates in major incidents and problems within the AdTech domain to ensure business interests and priorities are considered.
- Responsible for communicating status and consequences to the business and for escalating business-critical issues.
- The Service Manager leads and coordinates technical incident management, root cause analysis, and technical recovery, and communicates technical status to the Solution Owner and IT.
Requirements Gathering & Prioritization
- Responsible for collecting, documenting, and prioritizing business and operational requirements for AdTech solutions.
- Leads backlog refinement and roadmap work in close dialogue with the Service Manager, who provides technical input and feasibility assessments.
Vendor & Partner Management:
- Responsible for overall vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and budget related to AdTech solutions.
- Makes final vendor decisions in consultation with the Service Manager and the business.
- The Service Manager manages technical dialogue with vendors and ensures technical requirements and integrations are met.
Compliance & Data Protection:
- Has overall responsibility for ensuring AdTech solutions meet internal and external compliance requirements, including GDPR.
- Ensures the business is informed about risks and actions.
- The Service Manager ensures technical implementations comply with data protection and collaborates with the Solution Owner and Legal on new regulations or incidents.
Reporting & Communication:
- Responsible for reporting status, risks, and opportunities to the business and management.
- Compiles and presents overall reports on the business value of AdTech solutions.
- The Service Manager reports technical performance, incidents, and improvements to the Solution Owner and IT management, and provides technical input for reporting.
We are looking for a consultant who
- Has solid experience working with AdTech platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Emplifi or Smartly
- Has strong knowledge of data privacy, web analytics and consent management
- Is comfortable operating in complex, multi-vendor technical environments
- Has proven stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Is structured, communicative and confident in prioritisation and decision-making
- Enjoys working at the intersection of business, technology and marketing
- Backgrounds such as Solution Owner, Product Owner, AdTech/MarTech Lead or Service Owner are highly relevant.
