About the position

Puig is searching for a Commercial Manager to take charge of retail and wholesale strategies in the Nordic region. This key role focuses on driving brand growth, optimizing commercial performance, and ensuring retail spaces align with Puig’s global priorities. By working closely with the team in the Nordics and leveraging market insights, the role plays a critical part in strengthening relationships with key retailers and enhancing market presence in the Nordics.

Puig is strengthening its position in the Nordic region with key recruitments, this being one of them. The Puig team will be sharing space with one of its brands, Byredo, by Mosebacke in Stockholm. In this position you will report directly to the General Manager for the Nordics.

Responsibilities & key tasks

  • As the Commercial Manager for Puig Nordics, responsibilities include:
  • Building and maintaining long-term, strategic partnerships with leading Nordic retailers to foster mutual growth.
  • Negotiating trading terms, pricing, and product positioning to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Developing data-driven strategies tailored to each retailer, ensuring alignment with Puig’s brand goals and market opportunities.
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to maximize retail effectiveness and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Collaborating across teams to set clear sales targets and coordinate efforts to meet business objectives.
  • Managing budgets, trading terms, and stock returns to maintain profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Leading the execution of events, product launches, and campaigns that enhance brand visibility across the Nordics.
  • Aligning promotional activities with the long-term goals of Puig’s global and regional strategies.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Preparing for team expansion by defining operational processes and identifying the key competencies required for success.

Who are you? 

To succeed in the role as Commercial Manager you are or have:

  • Over 5 years in a commercial or sales-focused role within the beauty, luxury, or consumer goods sectors in the Nordics
  • Proven success in managing strategic accounts and delivering growth through retail and wholesale channels.
  • Budget management and P&L responsibility experience.
  • A track record of leading and mentoring teams in competitive, fast-paced industries.
  • Strong strategic and analytical abilities, with experience crafting commercial strategies that align with business goals.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, capable of negotiating and fostering trust with key partners.
  • Adaptable and decisive, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, including luxury and consumer goods segments.
  • Prior experience working with distributors or premium/luxury brands is highly desirable
