From one-off sends to a data-driven growth engine within CRM

Ratsit is one of Sweden's leading providers of personal and business credit information. Through a strategic partnership with Beyond Retail, we have together transformed email marketing into a stable, high-performing channel that drives both customer loyalty and consistent sales.

The challenge

At the start of the partnership, we identified opportunities to further develop Ratsit's email communication by increasing and refining the email sends – moving from manual one-off efforts to a more automated structure and ongoing campaigns. The focus was on creating more cohesive communication throughout the entire customer journey, but also on establishing predictable results. A further goal was to review and streamline the content and form of the emails and optimize the technical conditions for deliverability, in order to maximize reach in customers' inboxes.

Strategy and execution

Together we implemented a three-stage approach to take the channel to the next level:

  1. Customer lifecycle automation: We developed and implemented a series of automated flows triggered by customer behavior. By communicating at the right moment in the customer journey, we created a more relevant and personal experience that drives more traffic, more logins, and more purchases than before.
  2. Strategic campaign planning: A structured, long-term campaign plan was established. Through a steady flow of optimized campaigns, we have been able to work with continuous A/B testing of messaging, design, and send times to constantly improve results.
  3. Optimized deliverability: Through a technical review and ongoing monitoring, we have ensured improved deliverability, which laid the foundation for the sharp increase in reach and engagement.

The results

The work has delivered clear results across all of the primary business KPIs – from traffic volume to conversion and revenue:

  • Strong growth in traffic: Through the strategic optimization of the email sends, the total number of sessions increased by 30% over the past 12 months compared to the previous period.
  • Increased customer engagement: The streamlining of communication is clearly reflected in the number of value-creating interactions. A year-over-year comparison of the first quarter shows that the number of conversions increased by 12%.
  • Strengthened commercial return: The stabilized campaign plan and the new automations have paid off! In April 2026, revenue from the email channel increased by a full 38% compared to the same period the previous year, proving the channel's increased efficiency and maturity.
